How to add your blog feed to Google+
Hi all! Yes, I’ve been MIA again… I’m going to start posting on a regular basis again… I’ve just had too much to do… and didn’t have any posts pre-scheduled.
Anyhow…
I had a question from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Leonie Schroder. She recently put me in one of her Circles on Google+ and she noticed that I have my blog feed showing up in my Google+ Profile. She asked me how I did it. Here are the instructions:
How to add your blog feed to Google+ via Twitter (assuming your blog posts are automatically feeding there):
1. Log in at Google with your Gmail account
2. Go to http://www.google.com/buzz
3. Click on the Cog Icon in the upper right corner.
4. Click on “Mail Settings” and then Click on “Buzz”
5. Locate “Your Connected Sites” and connect your Twitter to Buzz by clicking on “Add” next to “Twitter”
NOTE1: Keep in mind that you may be able to automatically link your feed to Buzz through Blogger, WordPress or Typepad. If you choose to link directly through your blog, you shouldn’t link through Twitter as well… because you’ll get duplicate posts at Google+. Do one or the other. I chose to link my feed via Twitter.
NOTE2: Keep in mind that as of today, Google+ doesn’t have Business Pages. I’m sure when they have Business Pages they will require business blog feeds to be linked there instead of on one’s personal profile. So keep in mind that the change in the future may require you to change where your feed is linking to.
