Lamp for a summer night

The lantern in this card I recently made looks like the sort of lamp I remember we used when I went camping with my family as a child. Camping in summer was always a treat back then, as we used to go to the lake.

This card was made with The Light of Life stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs.

A tea cup for you

My gran, when she was living, was a huge fan of violets.  She had a multi-layer plant stand in her living room window filled with violet plants in colorful glass and ceramic pots and cups of all sizes. I don’t know what the secret was to growing healthy violets, but she knew what the secret was, because hers were just stunning. They would be blooming all the time with profuse flowers. She tended them with great care year round. My gran also loved and collected porcelain items including decorative tea cups and she displayed them on end tables in the living room along with the violets. So when I saw this stamp of a tea cup with violets in it, I was immediately reminded of my gran!

The tea cup is from the Birthday Blessings stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs. Here is a card I recently made with it:

Lose yourself in nature

Recently I had some time to stamp with my new North Coast Creations stamp sets. I typeset the verses on these 3 new stamp sets which you can purchase here: http://www.northcoastcreations.com

I used Find Beauty and Heaven’s Masterpiece on my card. This is the emboss-resist technique. I stamped and embossed the silhouette image onto cardstock with clear embossing powder and then used sponge daubers to add color over it.
