I am thankful to you all and wish you all the best today!

And as an FYI, can you believe it? I’m not eating turkey today! lol I’m actually working on blog designs! It is a normal workday for me. Now before you call me insane, let me explain…

Our family is celebrating Thanksgiving on Saturday instead of today. So my “day off” will be on Saturday when we will have Turkey and all the trimmings. My Brother-in-law was unable to get the day off work for Thanksgiving. And since we don’t want to celebrate without him, we changed the date of our celebration. You see, he is a nurse in a hospital emergency room located in Madison, WI. (And he is an awesome nurse, too!) Hospitals obviously do not close their doors… even on holidays. Someone must be there to help the sick and those who may cut their fingers while carving the turkey! (ok, that was probably a bad example, I don’t want to disgust anyone…) But emergencies do happen sometimes on holidays, and that’s why they need hospital staff to work.

So… instead of feeling disappointed that our Thanksgiving will happen a few days from now, lets be thankful there are people out there like my wonderful Brother in Law who sacrifice their Thanksgiving holiday to be there on hand for those in need of medical care on the holiday. Thank you Nurse Nathan Bubenzer at Meriter!

Anyhow, we are having Beef Stew today. It has been cooking in the crock pot all day. And my husband made Pumpkin cake.

Tomorrow we will be preparing for our Thanksgiving feast. We are going to West Bend and we are making the Pumpkin Pie. I’m also going to make some awesome Kiss Pies!!! What’s a Kiss Pie? I found the recipe on Pinterest and well… check ‘em out! Yum!

Well, its the last 2 days of the Stampin' Up! year… and I'm working like a crazy girl getting blog drafts and color changes done!

I know you'll have been waiting on your banner drafts and I'm having a fun time working on drafts to K-Love… singing out loud when a song comes on that I like.

I'm cranking out banner drafts like there's no tomorrow!!

After a nice short long weekend in Door County, WI I'm back at work.

If you are waiting for an email response from me, I'll be catching up on my correspondence this week. And working on designs too!

It is officially April 29th in London! Midnight!

I wish William and Kate a happy wedding day today!

I can't believe it has been 30 years since I watched Diana marry Charles. I remember that day. I was only 12 years old. I had just the week before celebrated my 12th birthday and I was living in Milwaukee at the time. 

My mother woke me up in the middle of the night on July 29, 1981 and she turned on the television set in the living room and we snuggled together in a blanket and watched the Royal Wedding. It is one of the happy memories of my childhood. My younger brother and father had no interest in the royal wedding… it was a special day shared with me and my mom.

What a spectacle it was… even on an old television set with small screen and reception that is not as good as today's TV reception, the wedding was grand. Mom and I watched the entire wedding together and I was in awe. After watching that wedding I started dreaming what my own would be like… I think I even asked my mom if I could try on her wedding dress, which was an old 1960s dress with a Jackie Kennedy style neckline and bodice… admittedly not my style… and I obviously "drowned" in it… being only 12… but it was fun!

I remember that night was the night I fell in love with England. I actually have strong British, Scottish and Irish ancestry (and my husband as well). But until that night, I didn't care. After watching Diana and Charles' wedding I vowed I'd go to England someday…

And that day came in 2000, and 2003, and 2007… and we will be going back. I tell people I've been to more cities and places in England than I have in the United States. lol

I can tell you how to get from "a" to "b" in London because I've been there 3 times and know the London Underground map by heart … yet I've never been to New York.

I feel "at home" in England. When I visit there, I just have this weird feeling of contentment… as if I've lived there all my life. I'm always sad when I have to come home.

My husband even asked me if I wanted to fly over to London for a few days for the wedding celebration and he looked up the airfare but we decided we can't leave home at this time due to commitments. But hopefully I'll be back in London soon!

So as William and Kate get married in Westminster Abbey (which is the most amazing Church I've ever had the pleasure of visiting) and then Buckingham Palace (also been there…) I will re-live happy memories of London today!
