Took a short break from posting…
Good morning!
I've been hard at work getting orders completed and trying to keep up with email.
Therefore I really haven't had the chance to prepare any blog posts in the last week. I have a folder filled with tons of finished work to post. But I've had to temporarily stop preparing finished posts in order to get work done.
So pardon the small lapse in posting.
I'll try to do better and post.
I'm currently working on designs for:
Angela H., Elaine S., Lorie A., Leslie M., Melinda P., Sue D., Alicia C., and two blogs for Kari M.
Right now I'm doing correspondence work (returning email inquiries)…
I'm also training a second assistant right now to help increase the workflow.
Jackie will be back at work in September after taking an extended summer vacation and will be doing caricatures again soon.
Things are going well with designing, and I'm sorry there is such a wait, but I have a waiting list and that's just the way it is.
Working as fast as I can!

Internet related problems
Hi all,
My husband is on vacation from work this week and we are using his time at home to move my computer upstairs to another room. We also switched to wireless Internet so that it can be done.
Unfortunately something went wrong with the wireless connection last night when I was installing a blog design the Wireless connection went down I had no internet or email for about 18 hours. He got it fixed today (yay!) So the two blogs I was supposed to install last night, well they never got installed. And I responded to a bunch of emails last night, but none of them went… (argh)
So I'm going through and looking to see if I need to resend any emails or if they went automatically once he fixed the problem.
We ended up moving a spare desk upstairs from storage in the basement and I have a new area to work upstairs, now that is nicer than my previous digs. But I sure didn't anticipate the loss of Internet. I used my time wisely, however. Even though I had no Internet, I was able to get lots of Print orders done.
Sorry to those who I wasn't able to install designs last night. I'm doing them now. Even the best laid plans go awry.
In fact, not only was the Internet down, but the belt broke on the vacuum cleaner we were using to vacuum the floors after the move! So now he went out to purchase a vacuum cleaner belt and fix the vacuum! lol
Poor guy, this was supposed to be his vacation, but he's ending up being a fix-it-guy!
Update: vacuum's fixed! lol
But now come to find out our phones haven't been hooked up for the last 24 hours. I wasn't getting calls and I've been trying to call out all day. lol Something's still not right with the network.
If you're trying to call me and you got nothing, that's why. argh…

Congratulations to Vanessa on your engagement! I can't believe my little girl is getting married! Makes me proud to have been your babysitter!!

No new project buttons for August
Well,
There seems to be a lack of new Projects with current product on the Stampin' Up! website. The projects available seem to have product from past mini catalogs. And the ones with all current product I've already featured.
So for now, I'm not posting any new Projects until SU! puts some new ones online.
Well, that was an interesting day…
Good morning!
Well, I have a work update for you. I was planning on installing several blogs and sending out drafts with buttons/graphics to customers yesterday.
Sorry, but that didn't happen.
In fact, I wasn't on the computer much at all yesterday.
There was a huge bank of thunderstorms that stretched from Wisconsin back to the state of Iowa yesterday that caused massive flooding and tornados. We also had some of the most dangerous lightening storms I've ever seen. There is flooding and water damage all over our area.
Two of the blog designs I had on schedule to install yesterday are customers in Australia. I don't know if you have tornados in Australia, but for those living in areas where there are no tornados, what happens is a warning goes out and everyone must head for the basement of the home.
(Think Dorothy and the famed "Wizard of Oz", when she was trying to make it back home to her cellar with toto)
There was a tornado spotted just west of my house and I took all the cats and myself and headed to the basement (cellar) and stayed their for an hour until the warning was lifted.
It has rained literally for the last 24 hours.
I'm getting back to work today, but I'm sorry to say I'll be doing yesterday's scheduled work because of the storms yesterday.
Sorry about that. But I have no flooding at my house, thankfully and everyone is safe. So back to work.
Lots of new blog designs to feature
In the last week, I've finished a bunch of new blog designs. Finished designs are starting to pile up in my finished designs folder.
I've been too busy doing new blog drafts to prepare the finished ones for posting here… I'm going to start preparing and posting finished designs on a daily basis again.
