I’d like to pause today and feature another finished design. This one is a color change! Karen Herrmann, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, asked me to change her existing blog design to the new In Colors!

Gone is the Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz. Her blog is now Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade!

Good afternoon! I hope you all had a lovely 4th of July weekend!

I’m going through my weekend emails and will respond to everyone today.

I’d like to share with you a blog design I finished last fall. I have lots of finished designs that I need to showcase here that I haven’t yet featured. Some date back awhile. I’m going through my finished designs folder and pulling out some of the oldest finished designs to feature.

Here is Ann Schach’s blog, which has a “postage stamp punch” style border around the edge and a sketched brick “shack” with wood picket fence! Ann has pop-up navigation! Click on one of the wood buttons above her picket fence and they pop up! The pop-up navigation buttons were programmed by Heather at www.blogsbyheather.com . Such a cute idea!

We carried over the “shack” idea in the rest of her graphics… her Order Online button is a wheelbarrow. Her Email Me button is the mailbox for her “shack” and she has 3 siggies! One for her, one for her dog muffy and the other for her dog brody!

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Jenny Moors in Poole, Dorset, UK got a blog makeover recently! Jenny wanted a design with two feathery bluebirds in a hanging flower pot!

I had to tell Jenny when we were designing her blog that birds sitting in flower pots are common around my neighborhood.

Several years ago I purchased some beautiful hanging flower pots at Milaeger's (a local gardening store up the street from me on north side of Racine on Douglas Ave, which by the way carries Vera Bradley purses to die for) and early summer a mama bird decided to make a nest in my expensive hanging flower pot and birth her baby birds in it!!! Needless to say, I did NOT water the hanging flowers with she and her babies in it… 'course my nice expensive flowers died with no water… but the baby birds survived and flourished! lol

Oh well… such things happen! (I decided to use silk flowers in my hanging pots the next year… lol)

Anyhow, designing Jenny's blog made me remember the "year of the baby birds" at our house!

Jenny's blog is Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point with some Baja Breeze and Soft Suede. The flourishes are River Rock.
