Kelley at Our Daily Bread designs is celebrating her birthday!
Today we are celebrating with a blog hop! You may have come here from Lisa’s blog. Welcome!
Here is the birthday I card I mailed to Kelley. I love the sparrow and thistle stamp set she has called “He Watches Me“. It is one of my favorite stamp sets and I purchased it when it came out in 2010. I love purple and green, which is a perfect color combination for this stamp! The sparrow was colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to give a lovely soft look. I added glitter on the tips of the wings! If you notice I cut out the sparrow wing and the sparrow image itself and layered to give the sparrow a three dimensional look.
In the image below you can see the layers of the sparrow as well as the embossed frame:
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, White, Stampin Up, Designer Paper by My Mind’s Eye
Ink: Ancient Page Coal Black by Clear Snap, Elegant Eggplant
Other: Glitter, Gingham ribbon in moss, Spellbinders Labels 18, Elegant Oval dies (ODBD Exclusive by Spellbinders), glitter, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, green gemstones and silver leaf clip from Cindy Coutts.

Today is the 2nd Anniversary of Christian Paper Crafts and Cindy asked me to be in the blog hop. So I whipped up this card this morning… without reading the directions… lol and I was supposed to make a birthday card! lol I don't want to re-do my card because it turned out so pretty. So enjoy my blog hop card and just pretend that instead of "Praying for You" it says "Happy Birthday"!
Happy 2nd anniversary/birthday to CPC!
This card was made with the shaving cream technique… I used Always Artichoke and Pacific Point reinkers, Always Artichoke and Pacific Point markers and cardstock, white satin ribbon, pearl embellishments and photo turn (retired).
